Queens are back!

TMS Sports are delighted to announce the return of the Gloucester City Queens in a dual sport collaboration of basketball and netball.

Gloucester City Queens was originally a professional women's team that competed in the WBBL as part of the Gloucester City Basketball brand. It will now make its return in basketball as youth development withe the focus on U13's girls to start and in netball the blend of senior development with focus on young talent in adult competitons.

TMS Sports MD, Jay Marriott had this to say:

I've been passionate about seeing the Queens brand return to Gloucestershire and continue to champion women and girls in sport. The synergy and closeness of the two sports gave us an opportunity to expand our offering both in competitive and community sectors and I can't wait for our talented coaches to get to work.

The Gloucester City Queens netball brand will be headed up by talented and experienced coach, Katie Jayne Shorting who has been involved in county netball for over a decade. We will be holding an introductory session next week, Friday 26th, 7:30pm-9:30pm at the new home of the Queens, St Peter's High School. We welcome all ages and abilities that are wanting senior coaching and competiton. With our summer sessions starting June 21st.

Gloucester City Queens basketball will be headed up by former professional Queens head coach, Jimmy Bower with venue and dates to follow next week.
